Scoil Muire & Treasa is engaged in a Comenius Project with a number of European schools from Slovakia, Great Britain and Finland. Visitors from these schools will visit Swinford from 14th March to 20th March 2012.  We look forward to welcoming them to our school. 

The Comenius project is entitled 'You are the people you have been waiting for' and places a huge emphasis on environmental issues, particularly on educating and encouraging our children to treat our planet responsibly. Our experience with Green Schools gives us an advantage in this regard, as the students of Scoil Muire agus Treasa are very knowledgable in this area.

We also hope that throughout the duration of the project, our children will embrace their own culture and heritage while sharing with children from the other countries.
